A number of unions marched in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Pay in Portland on Sunday, March 15th. The parade, which was sponsored by the Irish American Club of Maine, went east from the Fish Pier on Commercial and ended at the reviewing stand at Bell Buoy Park.

The Maine Legislature has been making some progress on passing bills to make child care more accessible and affordable for working families.

Registered nurses at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC) in Bangor yesterday delivered a 10-day notice to their employer announcing a one-day strike on Monday, March 23. This is the first strike notice issued by EMMC nurses since 2015.
