The Bath Marine Draftsmen’s Association (UAW 3999) at Bath Iron Works have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract. BMDA will hold a vote for members on the proposal this Saturday, March 19th.

The Part-time Faculty Association of Maine (PATFA-AFT 4593) has reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with the University of Maine System that increases wages and improves working conditions. PATFA represents about 2,000 part-time faculty members in the UMaine System.

Nurses at Maine Medical Center in Portland made history last year when they voted to form their first union with the Maine State Nurses Association/NNU.

Members of Operating Engineers (IUOE) 4, Carpenters 349, Laborers 327 and Ironworkers Local 7 have begun working on what will become the tallest building in Portland.

Union members and other supporters continue to show up on the picket line to support Cummins Inc. (IAM 447) workers in Scarborough. On Friday members of the Maine State Nurses Association/NNU joined the picket line.
