Ironworkers Local 7, Carpenters 349, IUPAT DC 35, Operating Engineers 4 and Laborers’ 327 members have been hard at work on a new Roux Institute project at the site of the old B&M Baked Beans plant in Portland. About 75 to 100 Ironworkers have been working on the project for the past year.

The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) have been holding rallies across the country to call on the USPS to negotiate a fair contract with fair wages and expansion of full benefits to all members. Bargaining on a new contract began on Wednesday.
