We extend our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of former Maine Service Employees Association (MSEA-SEIU 1989) staffer Nicole Beaudoin, who passed away May 13, 2026, in Rockville, Md. Beaudoin worked for MSEA as an account clerk from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s when it was known as the Maine State Employees Association.

Born in Saint-Georges, Quebec, Canada, she graduated from Cony High School in 1969 and worked for the retailer W.T. Grant in addition to MSEA. She married Emile Beaudoin in 1970 and they raised two children.

According to her obituary, “Nicole found happiness at home and in the work of her hands to include hobbies of sewing, knitting and creating the most treasured cross stich designs for her family. She was always looking forward to seeing the smiles of her six wonderful grandchildren who called her ‘Memere’, Abbie, Ben, Ellie, Lilly, Zoey and Hogan.”

There will be a private family burial service at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Augusta Elks Lodge, 397 Civic Center Dr., Augusta, on Friday, June 12, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
