The Veterans Administration employees and the Maine AFL-CIO condemn the Trump administration’s decision to terminate the master collective bargaining agreement between V.A. and AFGE National VA Council, which represents about 2000 V.A. employees in Maine. The move eliminates contracts for V.A.

The national AFL-CIO’s “It’s Better in a Union: Fighting for Freedom, Fairness and Security” bus tour will be making two stops in Maine on Tuesday, August 26 and Wednesday, August 27.

The Maine Secretary of State’s office has announced the order of two statewide referendum questions that will be on the November ballot.

The Machinists Local S6 Solidarity Re-Union Picnic last Saturday at the Pittston Fairgrounds was a great success. About 800 union members and their families attended the event, which featured food trucks, a bounce house, outdoor laser tag, corn hole, inflatable axe throwing, archery and more.
