Five members of the Maine Lobstering Union (IAM 207), have filed a legal challenge in United States District Court to new rules that require lobstermen with  federal lobster fishing permits to install electric tracking devices on their boats.
 

The Maine Restaurant Workers Coalition  is planning a series of public events for 2024 to strengthen restaurant worker organizing in Maine. Restaurant workers in Portland formed MRWC in 2020 to have a stronger voice in the industry to address their concerns in the workplace.
