Join us as union workers from across Maine gather at the State House Welcome Center in Augusta on Wednesday, April 23 from 10-11 a.m. and via Maine AFL-CIO Live Stream to highlight the success of clean energy job creation in the state and to call on Congress to continue supporting this momentum by maintaining critical federal tax credits.

The event will feature union members and leaders who have worked on clean energy projects in Maine, which have created jobs with family-sustaining wages, contributed to lowering energy costs for all Mainers and strengthened local economies.

The Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and Production Tax Credit (PTC) are driving clean energy growth, requiring strong labor standards, supporting American manufacturing and helping towns and schools participate through direct-pay options. Continued federal support is essential to protect thousands of jobs, keep utility costs affordable and ensure that Maine remains a leader in the clean energy transition.

This event is hosted by the Maine Labor Climate Council, Maine AFL-CIO and Maine Building & Construction Trades Council.
