Maine AFL-CIO Makes "Contract for Maine's Working Class" Banners with ARRT

For the past nine months, unions across Maine have been developing our Contract with Maine's Working Class. We know that all working people are feeling squeezed by the rising cost of living. We need to develop a labor led agenda to address these issues and fight for the solutions we need. We've been surveying thousands of workers and starting to develop a draft of our Contract with Maine's Working Class.

This past weekend union members teamed up with ARRT (Artists Rapid Response Team) to create banners and artwork to support the campaign. Everyone met at the Grange Hall in Bowdoinham. ARRT creates banners and props to promote various labor and social justice causes in Maine. Artists from throughout the state meet monthly in Bowdoinham for a marathon ARRT! workday, creating through collaboration. The group also creates large-scale video projections on buildings, etc. through its sister organization, LumenARRT.
