Maine AFL-CIO Issues Limited Edition Troy Jackson Baseball Card

Cards emphasize the career accomplishments of the fifth generation logger and fellow union member and will be distributed statewide

The Maine AFL-CIO unveiled a new piece in its member to member campaign to elect Troy Jackson to the US Senate– its first-ever union endorsed candidate baseball card. The limited edition cards feature some of Jackson’s accomplishments on behalf of Maine’s working families during his lifetime and in his career as a legislator. They will make their debut at labor canvass locations this weekend across the state. Jackson is a proud union member and fifth generation logger.

“After decades of Troy Jackson showing up for working Mainers, union members are lining up to support our union brother this fall,” said Maine AFL-CIO President Cynthia Phinney. “And these cards are emblematic of that. Labor activists will be distributing these to fellow union members and having real conversations at their doors and in the workplace about who Troy Jackson is and why we need to elect him to the Senate."

Like the baseball cards of old, the cards include facts about Mr. Jackson like his hometown, birthday and nickname, and even a trivia question on the bottom which challenges readers to guess his legislative score from the Maine AFL-CIO, which is **SPOILER ALERT** a 100 percent rating.
