Labor Leadership Certificate Course: "Understanding Workplace Rights"
The Scontras Labor Center will be launching its first Labor Leadership Certificate course in 2026!
In this class, students will learn what protections they have on the job and how to take action when these protections are violated. This class will cover topics such as wages, overtime, and wrongful termination and organizing rights. Students will learn how to spot violations, how to use proper procedure to win remedies at the state and federal levels.
Through robust discussion and case studies, the instructors break down workplace laws in an easily understood way that will give workers the tools they need to achieve justice on the job in both union and non-union workplaces.
