Join Bus Tour & Labor Day Events Across Maine

Labor Day is coming up and there's a lot going on in Maine. Labor Day is our time to join together in the spirit of solidarity, celebrate working people and continue our fight for freedom, fairness and security.
Labor Day will kick off in Maine early this year with the National AFL-CIO "It's Better in a Union" bus tour chugging up to the Solidarity Center in Brewer for a press conference and lunch Tuesday August 26, 11am. The following day, Wednesday August 27, 5pm, it will stop at the Local 14 Solidarity Center in Jay for a rally and training titled "Power with Purpose: Safety, Security & De-escalation for Picket Lines and Collective Actions." The AFL-CIO has been on a 23-state bus tour and we're honored that they're ending the tour in Maine. Info for both events is below.
On Labor Day weekend Central Labor Councils will be holding events full of food, music and fun in Portland, Skowhegan and Brewer. Information & RSVP info is below.
Community groups across the state are organizing numerous “Workers Over Billionaires” rallies and have events planned in Augusta, Brunswick, Waterville, Auburn, Wayne, Farmington, Dexter and Calais. These events are organized by other groups. Union members will be speaking at many of these rallies.
See below for details. Hope to see you at one of these great events! Please RSVP, as directed below, if you plan to attend.
