Labor Day is our time to join together in the spirit of solidarity, celebrate working people and continue our fight for freedom, fairness and economic security. On Labor Day weekend Central Labor Councils will be holding events full of food, music and inspiring speakers in Portland, Skowhegan and Brewer. This year we are excited to announce that AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler will be the special guest at the Eastern Maine Labor Council's Annual Labor Day Celebration on Monday, Sept. 7!
We encourage you to come out to one or more of these fun Labor Day celebrations to connect with fellow Mainers and union members and celebrate the true meaning of the holiday! More information and how to RSVP below.

Come see AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler. Local burgers, red hot dogs, corn on the cob and watermelon. Guests are encouraged to bring a potluck dish; the variety of great food at the event is always a highlight! Suggested donation of $5/person upon entry, kids under 12 are free, families $12 to help cover the cost of food. RSVP using this link.
