About seventy-five members of the Maine Service Association (MSEA-SEIU 1989) and other union members were among the nearly 7,000 fans who attended a sold-out baseball game with The Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field in Portland on August 23. The Sea Dogs defeated the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 8-2. The union members and their families enjoyed a dinner with Sea Dogs Biscuits at the Gifford’s Ice Cream Pavillion near right field.

"The weather was great, the home team won, and the Maine labor movement was in the house!" said MSEA President Mark Brunton.

The event was sponsored by the Scontras Center for Labor and Community Education and MSEA to honor the hard work of the Maine labor movement.
