Scontras Labor Center Hires USW 900 Retiree Linda Deane
In other news, the Scontras Center recently announced that it has hired retired USW 900 member and current Western Maine Labor Council President Linda Deane as is its new Administrative Specialist. Linda brings an impressive array of organizing skills, union experience in the Maine labor movement and clerical skills. Linda worked in the paper mill industry for many years, and was one of the Jay strikers. She recently led the effort to preserve the Jay union hall. Congratulations Linda!
