On Monday, union members from USW, IAM S6, APWU, MSEA-SEIU 1989, UFCW 1445, NWU and IATSE 114 gathered for a morning canvassing training before heading out to knock on doors in Augusta for State Senate candidate Raegan LaRochelle and House candidate Dave Rollins. For the past several weeks union members have been knocking on doors to engage with voters about union legislative candidates like Bruce Bryant (USW 900), Doris Poland (APWU), Kilton Webb (IBEW 567), Scott Cuddy (IBEW 1253), Mike Tipping (MSEA SEIU 1989) and others.

We have also been canvassing in support of pro-labor State Senate candidates Tim Nangle in Windham, Bettyann Sheats in the Auburn area, Reagan LaRochelle in the Augusta area, Senator Chip Curry in Waldo County and State House candidates like Dan Campbell of Auburn, Mark Werth in Ellsworth and others. As of print time, union members have knocked on over 7,300 doors in Androscoggin, Kennebec, Cumberland, Oxford, Waldo, Hancock and Penobscot Counties and expect to more than double that number in the coming month.
