The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) District Lodge 4 will hold its fifth annual charity golf tournament on on Friday, June 3, at the Spring Meadows Golf Club in Gray. Proceeds from the event will be donated toGuide Dogs of America/Tender Loving Canines, an organization that provides free seeing eye dogs to individuals who are visually impaired, rehabilitation facility dogs and service dogs for veterans and children with autism.

It’s super easy and convenient to support this important cause. Members of the public can pledge a donation to the event by sending a text to 41444 and typing “DL4” and the dollar amount. Last year, the District Lodge 4 raised $75,000 — including $40,000 from the charity golf tournament and $35,000 from other charity benefits — to support Guide Dogs of America/Tender Loving Canines.

Guide Dogs of America was  founded in 1948 by IAMAW to help create life-changing partnerships that go on to transform the lives of veterans, individuals with autism, blind and visually impaired people at no charge. To learn more go to guidedogsofamerica.org.
