Old Orchard Beach Firefighters (IAFF 2247) Celebrate 50th Anniversary

On May 18, 2024, Local 2247 celebrated its union turning 50 years old. Past and present members of the union came together with their families and reminisced. One of our founding members Arthur Guerin Jr. was in attendance for this special occasion. L2247 took this opportunity to also present Chief Gilboy with his Axe for completing 25 years of service to the union prior to being promoted. Special milestones and events like this really reinforce the meaning of union and bringing brothers and sisters together. We look forward to what will become of our union over the next 50 years!
