On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, union members with the Eastern and Central Labor Councils and other unions passed out leaflets outside car dealerships  in Bangor, Augusta and Auburn to educate community members about the UAW’s “Stand Up Strikes” and how the Big Three automakers are refusing to settle fair contracts with workers.

Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis-Chrysler made nearly $250 BILLION in North American profits over the past 10 years. They made $21 billion in total profits in just the last six months. The Big Three’s CEOs averaged 40 percent pay hikes in the last four years. Workers are only asking for the same after never being made whole from pay cuts and concessions they took to save the auto industry in 2009.
