This week, workers at the Upta Camp Edible Company and Golden Road Extracts in Bowdoinham  signed authorization cards to be represented by the Machinists Union District Lodge 4. Scott Oullette, the owner of Upta Camp Edible Company and Golden Road Extracts, has voluntarily recognized the union. The company produces various products, including Smokiez edibles, which are widely available in stores throughout Maine.

The two parties will begin negotiations for a first contract after the agreement is verified by a third party. This marks the first cannabis workers' union within the entire IAM Union and the first cannabis workers' union in the state. We will provide more details about the new cannabis union in January!
