Maine AFL-CIO Union Canvassers Reach Goal of Hitting 25,000 Doors for Pro-Worker Legislative Candidates

This week union canvassers with the Maine AFL-CIO achieved our goal of knocking on 25,000 doors for labor-endorsed candidates for the Maine State House and Senate! Our canvassers came from all over Maine and included rank and file members of the United Steelworkers, the Maine Service Employees Association (SEIU-1989), Machinists Local S-6, IBEW 2337 and 1253, the Maine Labor Climate Council, the Maine State Nurses Association, UFCW 1445, Ironworkers Local 7, Carpenters 349/352, IATSE 114, UAW, IUPAT and American Postal Workers Union. We will finish our last doors on Friday and then we will mobilize a door-to-door get-out-the-vote campaign to make sure pro-labor voters cast their ballots on Election Day!
