Due to the tragedy in Lewiston last month, the Maine AFL-CIO executive board voted to reschedule our Biennial Convention to Thursday and Friday, January 11-12, in Auburn. If you are interested in participating contact your union President about being a delegate or alternate. Convention delegates will elect officers, a new Executive Board, chart our course for the Maine labor movement over the coming couple years and participate in organizing workshops, trainings and discussions.
Union leaders should have received updated information about the convention, discounted hotel rates and more. Previously submitted credentials remain valid for the new dates. If your union is sending the same delegate(s) and alternate(s), you do not need to do anything. If you want to either add delegates or alternates, or swap who will be representing your local, you must submit a new credential for any new delegates or alternates.
