Machinists Local S6 Raises $12,000 at the Gate for Toys for Tots

Machinists (IAM) Local S6 Community Services Committee raised nearly $12,000 and collected a "massive number" of toys for children of all ages during its annual US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots gate collection this month. 

"This is something we can all be proud of," IAM Local S6 wrote in a letter to members. "Thank you for supporting this wonderful program and bringing joy to thousands of Maine children."

he mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute them to less fortunate children at Christmas. You can also go only at toyfortots.org for an easy, fast and safe way to donate directly. 97 percent of donations go directly to providing toys to less fortunate children.
