Last week, several hundred high school students attended Maine Construction Career Days. The United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 716 was on hand to give students direct exposure to welding and the pipe trades.

"Our signatory contractor CCB had hands on welding and cutting torches set up for the 700 students that attended," the union wrote in a Facebook post. "Local 716's training department's virtual welder was also a big hit with all the kids involved.  See you all next year!"

Are you a golden arm pipe welder? Can you weld the crack of dawn?

Local 716 is looking for skilled pipe welders all over the state and beyond. They offer unmatched health/medical benefits along with two separate retirements and more. Weld testing is every Friday. Contact Beau Libby at 207-592-4894 or email blibby@uanet.org for more information and to sign up!
