There will be a fundraiser for Maine Lobstering Union organizer Ginny Olsen featuring food, raffles and more on August 3 at 2pm at Dale & Sherri Haley of Oceanville Boatworks, 170 Oceanville Rd, Stonington. Ginny is a devoted advocate for Maine’s lobstering industry and ocean conservation. She has been instrumental in growing power in her union and fighting to protect our valuable fisheries.
A few months ago, Ginny was diagnosed with inoperable stage four lung cancer and she needs our solidarity and love, now more than ever. If you can make it, please join us in showing Ginny how much she means to our movement. The event will feature:
- Lobster, clams, corn, smoked brisket, burgers, hot dogs and sides. ($20 suggested food donation)
- A three-mile Line will play at 5 pm
- Multiple Raffles at 6:30 pm, including a raffle for a Luke Hartmann hand made 20" gold chain (value of $5,500.00). $20 per ticket.
