The Maine Labor Alliance invites social service and non-profit workers to a community forum in the Community Room in the lower level of the Rockland Public Library on Tuesday, May 16th from 5:30 - 7:30pm. Free food and childcare will be provided.

This event is a safe space for workers to discuss challenges in their field, envision more sustainable workplaces, and talk about how organizing together can benefit themselves, their clients, and their communities.

Members of management who have the power to hire and fire workers and/or play a major role in shaping agency budgets are asked not to attend because the organizers want to provide opportunities for workers to engage in these important conversations without fear of retaliation. However, supervisors who don't participate in these activities and are more aligned with coworkers than with management  are welcome.
