Community Event for Social Service & Nonprofit Workers — July 21 in Portland
The Maine Service Employees Association (SEIU 1989) and the Maine Labor Alliance will be holding an event for social service and non-profit workers to come together and connect, share resources, and envision how their work can be more sustainable on this Friday, July 21, at the University of Southern Maine in Portland. This event is a safe space for workers to discuss the challenges we face in our workplaces, *without managers present*.
The group will be gathering at 1 Payson Smith Hall, at the University of Southern Maine (96 Falmouth St., Portland). The building is accessible and the room is on the first floor. There will be a meal provided, so show up a little early to get some food and settle in. There will also be a French-English interpreter at the event to make the conversation accessible to our French-speaking friends and colleagues.
Free child care will be provided - please register and specify if you'll need child care during the event so we can get in touch with you! Questions? Contact Frankie at frankie.st-amand@mseaseiu.org.
