The Bath Marine Draftsmen’s Association (UAW 3999) at Bath Iron Works have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract. BMDA will hold a vote for members on the proposal this Saturday, March 19th. Union leaders say the agreement includes raises, potential cost of living adjustments, a higher 401k match, a ratification bonus, more schedule flexibility and a better vacation policy.

“The Negotiating Committee is unanimously endorsing the Tentative Agreement as we believe it provides real value to the membership on both economic and non-economic articles,” BMDA leaders posted on Facebook. “Additionally, and of significant importance, no concessions were made in order to achieve the improvements in the Tentative Agreement.”

UAW 3999 represents materials testers, laboratory technicians and employees who work on ship designs and technical drawings.
