Earlier this week, we learned that Bangor firefighter Jake Madden tragically took his own life after suffering with work-related PTSD. Known as a dedicated firefighter and family man, Madden leaves behind his fiancée, Erica, and children Logan, Willow and Salem. Bangor Professional Firefighters Association (IAFF) Local 772 President Jared Willey, a coworker and personal friend of Madden, has launched a fundraiser to support the family during this devastating time.

"[Jake Madden] spent all of his time caring for the community and his family. Now we have the opportunity for us to give back to him," writes Willey. "His family needs help covering funeral arrangements and the immediate financial challenges an untimely death poses. I ask that we all come together to support Jake and his family. He has changed so many lives during his time on this earth."

Please donate what you can to support the family of Jack Madden here.

If your union or organization would like to contribute to the fund, please let us know and we can help you make that donation directly to avoid fees.
