We send our condolences to the family of Peter Anthony Cloutier (IBEW 2327), 76, of South Portland, who died unexpectedly on April 19, 2023 at the family farm on Fickett Street. Known to his friends and family as "Pistol," Cloutier started his career in the merchant marines, sailing around the world. He then became a member of IBEW 2327 and worked as a phone technician at New England Telephone Company while starting a beautiful family of three wonderful children with his teenage sweetheart, Christine Garvin, according to his obituary.
Cloutier also represented the people of South Portland in the Maine State Legislature for three non-consecutive terms from 1979-1980, 1992-1993, and 1995-1996, where he was a strong advocate for education and working class Mainers.
